POWER RANKINGS - WEEK 13, 2006
Week
Year

1

Buddies 10-3

Wasn’t pretty this past week but they are on a 2002 Huskers' type of roll.

2

Chickens 9-4

That rumbling you here is the runaway train that LT and the Chickens have become. They are likely to celebrate their 10 year anniversary of their 1996 title with another one this year.

3

3
Refugees 7-6

Everyone is contributing except Rex Grossman; he needs to step up if this team is going to do anything in the playoffs. Those running backs are looking good.

4

1
Mallards 7-6

5 straight victories now, but Roethlisberger needs to play more consistent. Management must be wishing they had gone with Damon Huard over Andrew Walter because if they had they would have beaten the Boys the first time around and would not need help from White Guys in Week 13.

5

2
Boys 7-5-1

Eli Manning hasn’t scored more than 6 since week 7 and their Week 12 loss gave a lot of teams hope. They must have been shocked to wake up Tuesday morning to see that the Mallards had come back for the win.

6

2
Dragons 7-6

Frank Gore is the only dependable player on the roster; the Dragons better make this year count because next year is looking like a tough one.

7

6
Eaters 7-6

All of a sudden they hold the AFC wild card lead; with Romo leading the way they could be the one team capable of knocking the Buddies out in the AFC. Wouldn’t it be something if the AFC West won 4 straight Super Bowls without the same team winning it twice.

8

4
Brothers 6-6-1

The power rankings buried them alive last week; now they are out of the grave and will likely beat the Beans. They are huge White Guys fans this week. McAllister and Palmer are on fire.

9

5
Llamas 5-8

MWM seeks QB. Enjoys TDs, YDS, long walks on beach. Willing to give 1st round draft picks.

10

Huskers 6-6-1

The more Kevin roots against the Llamas the more they win and the more the Huskers lose. 0-3-1 in last 4.

11

Poop 6-7

Bri built them up in the forum and they came out and stunk up the joint with not only their name but also the 18 points they scored as they were knocked out of contention.

12

5
Beans 8-5

Doing a better job of backing into the playoffs than the 2002 Merry Men. The Jay Cutler era begins.

13

4
Merry Men 5-7-1

Kitna has managed just 12 points the last 3 weeks; when he plays bad the Merry Men play bad. Note to self: draft quarterback with first round pick. At least Shaun Alexander looks good again.

14

6
Thugs 7-6

Countdown to Week 13: The week has arrived as the Thugs and Merry Men suit up for what could be their last game as division rivals. Things are going to be emotional over at 382 East Elm St. Will the winner make the playoffs?

15

White Guys 3-10

Everyone is rooting for the White Guys in Week 13; beating the Big Boys opens door to a lot of others possibly making playoffs.

16

Orangutangs 2-11

Where did that 55 point performance come from? Perhaps they can win the Stupor Bowl. Picking Chris Henry off the scrap heap was a great move.
