POWER RANKINGS - WEEK 1, 2020
Week
Year

1

Buddies 11-2

The Defending Champs get the honorary pleasure of being ranked in the top spot but I'm not so sure they are the best team in the YFFL right now. Sending Cooper out of town and replacing him with Sterling Shepard for a chance to add a 4th QB was a questionable move. Luckily for the Buddies they have Pat Mahomes and so long as he is healthy the Buddies are Title Contenders.

2

Huskers 7-6

The Huskers finished 2019, 6-7 with a staggering 719 points (120 more than the WG who were 4th) and missed the playoffs. The Huskers are going to run it back in 2020 with largely the same team and hopefully better luck awaits.

3

Chickens 9-4

The Chickens will trot out the finest starting lineup in the league as 2020 gets underway. So long as everyone stays healthy their lack of depth won't be exposed. This looks to be Drew Brees final season for the Chickens.

4

White Guys 8-5

The White Guys finished 2019 strong as they ended the regular season with four straight wins. They were the hottest team in the league till they dropped the highest scoring game in league history during the first round of the playoffs. If Jackson stays healthy despite running so much the White Guys will be the favorite to win their division.

5

Orangutangs 8-5

Another team that was better than their record in 2019 were the 'Tangs. The presumptive favorite to win their division and the addition of Cooper will give them a great shot at yet another Super Bowl appearance.

6

Boys 7-6

The Big Boys have had three great drafts in a row and are now poised to reap the benefits. Chubb, Drake, and JT form the best group of RBs in the league after Chris got his man with the #2 pick. The NFC is loaded this year and should produce a ton of great games.

7

Mallards 6-7

Last years NFC Champs enter 2020 with a myriad of questions. Can Wentz finally regain 2017 form? Can the RBs stay healthy? Should they have broken up their Tampa Bay WRs? Will they ever get a good TE? I think the Mallards will fly under the radar for the start of the season but in a month the move to get JK Dobbins will pay off as the Mallards make a run at 9 wins for a 4th year in the last 5.

8

Merry Men 7-6

Everyone's favorite pick for the AFC WC has the makings of being this years break out team. The QBs are healthy, they have three starting RBs for the first time in forever, and landed the top WR in this years class in CeeDee Lamb, who could be a star from day 1. If CEH is as good as everyone is projecting this team could win double digit games.

9

Brothers 7-6

It will probably raise a few eyebrows to see the Brothers this high, but it's 2020, something weird like Bri finally breaking thru and winning the Title has to be possible right? Goff, Woods, and CMC could sneakily keep this team in the WC hunt.

10

Dragons 6-7

The Dragons had a great draft night and patched a lot of holes in the roster. I think they may get off to a slow start while the rookie RBs get their feet wet, but they will be a completely different team in the second half of the season and a very tough game. Could this be the year we see Rodgers moved?

11

Llamas 4-9

I can't wait to see how this season spins out of control for these guys. Lucky for them the AFC is weak and they have some of the top guys at their position like Watson, Barkley, and Metcalf.

12

Eaters 5-8

If you run into trouble with your WRs give Kurt a call, he has 7 of them and all but Jeffery are pretty good at football. I could see a couple playing elsewhere by seasons end.

13

Poop 2-11

This is still Tom Brady's team!!

14

Beans 3-10

They have their Franchise QB, now they just need to find some cornerstones at WR, RB, and TE.

15

Refugees 7-6

They'll finish 6-7 or 7-6 obviously, but for right now I'm not sure how they do it.

16

Thugs 7-6

Only thing that would make the Thugs interesting this year is if Crab Legs finds his way into the starting lineup. These guys may struggle to break 400 points this season.
