2024 Mock Draft

Steve Dugas, YFFL.com Draft Guru

August 29, 2024

With six of this year's 1st Round picks changing hands via trade over the last couple of seasons, multiple teams will be looking to make a splash in the 2024 Draft and turn their fortunes around quickly. This includes the Merry Men (3 picks), Eaters (2 picks), Huskers (2 picks) and even the defending champion Orangutangs (2 picks). YFFL Draft Guru Steve Dugas has watched the tape and forecasts this year's crop of rookie standouts from 1-16.

1. Llamas

QB Caleb Williams CHI

Anything and everything that could go wrong has for the Llamas ever since Drew Brees walked out the door. Llamas finally get the right guy as they take generational talent Caleb Williams.

2. Huskers

WR Marvin Harrison Jr. ARZ

Kevin considers meddling with Llamas and having them take Jayden Daniels so he can have Williams but he changes his mind when he realizes he can get the best WR his team has had since Andre Johnson. Drafting Marvin Harrison Jr. is a layup.

3. Merry Men (via Eaters)

WR Malik Nabers NYG

In most years Nabers would be the first player off the board, but 2024's class is loaded beyond belief. Nabers has Antonio Brown upside on and off the field.

4. Big Boys

QB Jayden Daniels WAS

Rumors are swirling the Big Boys are done with their pint sized QB and ready to go in a new direction. Picking Jayden Daniels would be the first big surprise of the night as he takes over for the often banged up Kyler Murray.

5. Market Thugs

WR Xavier Worthy KC

Bobby has watched way too much University of Texas football to not draft one of his favorite players ever. Worthy and Mahomes are going to be a lethal pair.

6. Asian Orangutangs (via Poop)

WR Rome Odunze CHI

Wow, in this mock Jon lands one of the most polished, hard working, and well spoken players we've seen enter the NFL in a long time. Odunze immediately enters the starting lineup. I think he is actually the WR1 in Chicago.

7. White Guys

WR Brian Thomas Jr. JAC

The White Guys sprint their card into the commissioner as they take the large fast man who led the SEC with 17 TDs last season. The White Guys currently have a WR group who could rival the one the Buddies trotted out a decade ago that didn't score a single TD all year. Aceto has to bolster the weakest spot on his roster and does so with Brian Thomas.

8. Huskers (via Mallards)

RB Jonathan Brooks CAR

Is this the latest we've ever seen a RB go in a YFFL Draft?? Kevin breaks the seal and takes the latest stud RB out of Texas. Brooks will miss the first four weeks and that's ok, the Huskers are building for 2025.

9. Mexican Beans

RB Trey Benson ARZ

The Beans are in pretty good shape roster wise but could use another RB after Charbonnet didn't do much last year. Benson is a size and speed freak who profiles similar to Marshawn Lynch.

10. Merry Men

TE Brock Bowers LV

Bowers lands in the perfect situation as he joins a team where he can sit and learn how the position is played in the YFFL while he works through a terrible landing spot and bad QB.

11. Merry Men (via Chickens)

QB Drake Maye NE

The Merry Men are contemplating just dropping some names into a hat for this pick. They should really be grabbing a QB to plan for Stafford dropping off the roster in the next year or two and they should really be considering Blake Corum to back up the oft injured Kyren Williams. No idea which way this goes.

12. Cuban Refugees

WR Keon Coleman BUF

It worked out pretty good for the Refugees with Allen and Diggs. Aceto tries the same formula again and hopes it works out just as well.

13. Burger Buddies

WR Ladd McConkey LAC

Mike somehow avoids pulling the trigger on a first round QB and adds some depth to a suddenly barren WR room. Tyreek Hill produces enough for two players but he could use some help.

14. Eaters (via Dragons)

RB Jaylen Wright MIA

Only thing the Eaters are missing at this point are some RBs. If Kurt can hit on one of these two picks the Eaters are going to give the AFC West four teams that are all capable of taking down a title.

15. Eaters (via Brothers)

RB Blake Corum LAR

See above.

16. Orangutangs

QB Bo Nix DEN

JJ McCarthy is tempting here but Jon likes to have contingencies baked into his roster. In Nix he has perhaps the future QB of the 'Tangs and also a backup QB for this year should injury arise.
