2024 Awards

What a stressful grind that regular season was. Glad I have a week to reset for the playoffs. Good Luck to everyone the next few weeks. Here are who I think some of the contenders are for Awards this season.

MVP
Lamar Jackson - It's his to lose, White Guys probably only win 3-4 games without him.
Josh Allen - Perhaps the greatest fantasy QB we've ever seen on a season to season basis.
Derrick Henry - Just a force of nature for the Buddies and carried them at times while the rest of the roster found their way.
Kyren Williams - He was the engine that drove the MM. Could count on him every week.
Jalen Hurts - No one you hate going up against more than this guy.
Joe Burrow - Just a stud when he is healthy.

Rookie
After looking like Nabers would run away with this the first few weeks he went in the tank and three others emerged and stood above the rest.

Marvin Harrison - Solid first season, but felt like he didn't meet expectations.
Brian Thomas - I did not expect this guy to hit at all, what he did with that trash QB play in JAX was amazing.
Brock Bowers - Second best rookie TE season in YFFL history, lack of TD's really killed a guy leading the NFL in catches thru 14 weeks.
Bucky Irving - Late to the party but ended up with over 60 points. Probably a two person race between Irving and Thomas.

Macor Misa
Chase Brown - Automatic 10 after starting the season as a backup RB on his NFL team.
Taysom Hill - 24 Point game to lead Bear to a win during a week they were missing the QB to give Bear win over Mallards and lead to me whining about it for over a month now.

Owner - The Mike Kinsman Owner of the year award goes to.....

Mike Kinsman - Mike doesn't just hit on players for a year or two, he hits on guys who are awesome for 5-10 years. His teams are always in it. Just another incredible year for a fantasy savant.

Aceto - Anthony took a huge risk when he drafted Jackson and Allen and those picks continue to be the foundation of teams that are in the mix for a title every year. Great job again Anthony.

Steve - Came into the season with a team with sky high expectations and one team that wasn't projected to do much. Merry Men managed to meet expectations even if it took every last NFL game to get the first round BYE and the Mallards came within a hair of making the playoffs despite Justin Herbert being shackled by Greg Roman and that Chargers offense.

For MVP i would like to see both Saquon (148 points, Llama captain, former Giant) and Jamarr Chase (2nd best WR season all time) on the ballot. While neither the Llamas or the Dragons made the playoffs these two guys should certainly be up for the MVP award

Rookie: Jake Bates (111 points) needs to be added to this list as well as Tyrone Tracy Jr (56 points since week 5)
