In an unprecedented move, owner Mike Kinsman and general manager Nick Wood have decided to "gift" QB Vince Young to Steve Dugas and the Merry Men in honor of his upcoming nuptials on September 19th.

Drafted 10th overall in 2006, Young showed signs of promise as a rookie before regressing to the point of "driving around with a loaded gun" last season. He'll compete with the 17 other quarterbacks on the Merry Men for a roster spot.

"I'm extremely disappointed that I won't be able to make his wedding and I thought that this was the least we could do for him," said Wood. "Steve values his YFFL franchises more than a KitchenAid 5 Quart Chrome Artisan stand mixer from his registry, so we thought he'd really appreciate a quarterback. Becky on the other hand, might be a little upset with us..."

Team owner Mike Kinsman, who has notoriously antagonized Steve for years over email, the YFFL forum, in text messages, during the draft, in-person and was last seen preparing a banner for the bridge on Main Street in Yarmouth, was in Utah looking for a date to the wedding and could not be reached for comment.

As for Steve, YFFL cameras were there to get his reaction.
