Postcards from Camp

Summary

The Burger Buddies had a great year in 2012 as they made the playoffs for the first time since 2006. Leading the charge were Peyton Manning and #4 draft pick Doug Martin. As the Buddies' season progressed and they continued to win, Mike was able to find his swagger again and remind the YFFL who the biggest personality is. Whether it was bringing up Kevin Sansone, baby oil and Rotoworld or going on the attack about the rubbish on the Merry Men's roster, there was no doubt Mike was all the way back. The Buddies finished the season strong by winning their final three games and nabbing the first round bye before they succumbed to a brutal beat down at the hands of Bear Poop in the playoffs.

Critical Question

Can the Buddies continue to ascend in the AFC or will they take a step back in 2013? While the Buddies seemed poised to win the AFC West again, it likely will not be quite as easy this time around. Every team in the division should be improved and put more pressure on Mike to find some incremental improvements to his lineup.

Player to Watch

Reuben Randle, WR NYG - Mike knew he struck gold when he drafted Randle in the second round last year, he just didn't know how long it would take for him to make an impact. With Hakeem Nicks pretty much working his way out of town in the Meadowlands, Randle is poised to be a break out fantasy star this season.

Lineup

Peyton Manning, Doug Martin, Darren Sproles, Pierre Garcon, Rueben Randle, Greg Olson, Sebastion Janikowski, #13 Overall Draft Pick

Outlook

While it might not be easy, the Buddies should win their division for a second consecutive year in 2013. With Garcon back healthy and Manning and Martin poised for monster years, this team will definitely at least earn the AFC Wild Card. Whether or not this is as Super Bowl team will depend on how they do in the draft and if young WR's Streater and Randle can make an impact.

Projections

8-5; 590 Points; 1st Place AFC West
