Better Than Average

For a team known for finishing the season 7-6 or 6-7 every year, the Cuban Refugees look better than average through 2 games thus far in 2020.

Josh Allen tossed 4 touchdowns and 5 other players contributed touchdowns as the Refugees set a new single game scoring record and thrashed the Llamas 89-40 to move to 2-0 on the young season.

It's looking like a breakout season for Allen, who has now scored 7 touchdowns in his first two games. After a shaky start to his career, Allen finished strong in 2019, taking the reins of the Refugees and delivering six straight 2+ touchdown performances to close out the season.

Allen and the Refugees will square off with the preseason AFC East favorite Orangutangs next week in a pivotal matchup that will have big ramifications on the future of the division.

Elsewhere around the league, the Huskers continued to roll and the Buddies surged late on Sunday afternoon to remain the only other unbeaten teams, the NFC East is all knotted up at 1-1, and the Mexican Humping Beans can't catch a break - one week after the Chickens dropped 72 points on them, the Huskers rolled up 78 on them in Week 2, leaving their point differential at -83 thru just 2 games.
