Jon Kinsman, YFFL Commissioner

September 24, 2019

4, 5, 4, 5.

These are the number of wins for the Huskers in four of the last five seasons.

However, after a half decade of relative dormancy, it looks like the Huskers are ready to come alive in 2019 and challenge for supremacy in a wide open NFC.

Their 73-37 drubbing of the Beans in Week 3 moved them to a perfect 3-0 as Russell Wilson delivered one of the finest performances of his up-and-down career, accounting for 31 points. With new acquisition Julio Jones off to a fast start, rookie Josh Jacobs joining David Johnson in the backfield, and D.J. Moore looking for a breakout sophomore season, the retooled Huskers will take on the perennial NFC West favorite Chickens next week in an early season showdown that could dictate the future of the division.

Elsewhere around the league, the aforementioned Chickens were limping into Week 3 thanks to a key injury to Drew Brees, but Daniel Jones a.k.a uhhh...let's go with "D.J.", lit it up in his first start to the tune of 30 points to down the Brothers 77-39, the Buddies continued their march through the YFFL and are now averaging a staggering 73 points a game, and the difficulties continued for owner Jon Kinsman, who is still looking for his first win of the season as both the Dragons and Tangs sit at 0-3.
